A rare Gem based on pure Aged Oud. According to the ASAQ website the fragrance consists of Taif Rose, Saffron, Star Anise, and various Herbals in the top notes, Cedarwood, Woody, Rosewood in the Middle, and the base notes consisting of Agarwood, Sandalwood, Pure old oud, Balsamic. The fragrance on the dry down represents a soothing earthy damp woody smell with faint florals in the mix. The oud used here isn’t skanky at all, in fact, it’s quite soft and transcending as if your in this forest filled with centuries-old fragrant trees, all while a soft drizzle touches the warm soils beneath relieving its heat, with a fresh earthy aroma. Khashab Al Oud is dense yet supple like the petals of a flower , which represents a dense damp woody bouquet-like smell with a short reach (Maybe due to the high concentration of naturals). To me, this is more of an intimate fragrance experience as it stays closer to the wearer, ever-present. For the lovers of oud-based perfumes, Khasab Al Oud by Abdul Samad Al Qurashi a must-have.
